Public Group active 9 months ago agoIndian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) is on a high growth trajectory today, offering widest range of academic programmes in the field of management education.
Starting in 1997 with a batch of 42 students in its Postgraduate Programme (PGP) , it increased PGP intake to 120 in 2003, to 180 in 2005, to 261 in 2008 and to 319 in 2010, thus making it the fastest growing management school in the country to reach that landmark. This was done keeping the quality of the programme high, as the Institute continued to maintain its sound placement record, ranking among the top few institutes in the country.
Eligibility for IIMK Admission 2011 :
At least a three-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities/AICTE as eligible for post-graduate studies.
Post – Graduate degree in any discipline (at least 55% marks); CA, ICWA or CS (at least 50% marks); Engineering degree (at least 60% marks), other professional qualifications (at least 55% marks); Candidates at their final year of the above courses may also apply.
Work experience is a must for some degree holders to pursue research in Marketing area.
Selection : Based on applicant’s profile & test scores in any of the following Tests : CAT, GMAT, GRE, UGC / CSIR JRF or GATE and personal interview at IIM Kozhikode.
ADMISSION PROCESS
The admission to the programme is through a highly rigorous internationally acclaimed admission test with average selection rate of less than one in hundred candidates.
The programme is highly valued by industry. Leading Indian and foreign companies visit to the Institute to participate in campus placement programme. Looking at the huge demand of the industry for the institute graduates, the intake in the programme has been increased to 300 students from the academic session 2009.
